That is a great post! What a beautiful read to start off the morning.
I really like this post. It's true, of course, but many do not believe it.Being a mother who tries very hard to instill virtues and morals in my children, and to lead by example, well.... let's just say it aint easy in the world we live in.
And on your post about funerals... yes, joy and love are to be shared with people you love before they are gone. And I believe that we should share their lives with others who loved them when they are gone... remember the good and rejoice in the peace they have found in where ever it is they go when they leave this world, because I know it can only be a better place than this.
I am glad your mother loved you enough to understand you were not disrespecting your granny, but honoring her in a way that you felt was best.
We can only do what we feel is right, and hope that others around us love us enough to let us do so.
Easter is a day when I think of those I love who have gone on and are waiting for me, in whatever place they may be... and hope that when my time comes I will have earned the right to be there too.
