This is the 7th book I have reviewed as a book review blogger for Book Sneeze (previously known as Thomas Nelson).
I immediately request to review a copy of the book when I saw how cute the cover is, what more, it's for boys! Hooray!
As a mother of a 14 months old boy, I get very excited when I stumbled into books for babies, toddlers and especially boys!
Like I said, the book has a nice adorable and appealing cover. I like the colors used in the illustrations as it brings a comfy casual feeling - sort of like a prelude to a relaxing and easy going book.
I love the way the authors lay out the scriptures accordingly, like God's promises when you are happy, or when you need help and so on.
Of course at the moment, as I read and show my toddler the illustrations, I can see how fascinated he was with the colorful pages.
Overall, I give this book a 9 out of 10.

I have always been a fan of Lucado's book and I'm glad I got to review this book as well!
Yes, I took quite some time to put up this book review (this time.... ) but good things must be enjoyed slowly right?
Anyway, back to the review of this book...
I love the way Lucado put things in perspective.
This book, "Facing Your Giants" tells us that nothing is big enough for our God to handle.
Whether our problems are big or small, as long as we overcome and put God in our mind, we can overcome it no matter what!
Go get this book now and you will not regret it!

The book has a nice appealing cover. I don't quite like the colours used for the illustration though as its a bit on the dark side and kind of brings a gloomy mood.
As for the storyline, I really love the way Lucado tells the story in a rhyme way... it's about this little boy called Ollie.
At one point, I felt it touched my heart as I feel everyone is an Ollie, trying to fit in and be accepted.
Overall, I'll give this book an 8 out of 10.

Although the book takes 2 months to arrive (yes, I got the free copy of the book!), I quickly get down to reading it whenever I could find the time to do so. (normally when Ben takes his nap)
It's about 260 over pages thick with a nice glossy cover. I don't quite like the design of the cover though.
On the content part, I particularly like the "Strong Life Test" which helps you determine which role you were born to play - advisor, caretaker, creator, influencer and so on.
From there on, once you have drilled down to your role, it will tell you when is your strongest moment and how to make the most of your role in your everyday situations and hence, guiding you to build your strongest life in terms of life directions, relationships and so on.
Overall, I'll give this book a 8 out of 10. Get it and see for yourself! :)

I love the way Lucado dispenses out his points and how he put things in perspective, how you feel as if he’s there talking to you face-to-face! I find myself nodding in agreement at almost every page when reading his book.
There are so many statements in the book that are so inspiring and true.
I’ve even started telling my friends and family members to get this book as it is so applicable in our daily lives!

This is my 2nd book review as a book review blogger for Thomas Nelson (http://brb.thomasnelson.com/).
I was given 2 chapters of the book to review and personally I find the book quite inspirational in the sense that I can relate to some of the examples given in my own personal experience.
However, I feel it's better if the author starts off each chapters based on her own experiences instead of providing some fictional examples so that the readers can better picture themselves in her shoes (more realistic experiences).
On the other hand, I do appreciate the scriptures and quotes provided at the beginning of the chapters.
I think one of the message this book is trying to tell us is to just let go and cast our burdens and worries and let things happen according to God's will.
And that you should not let what others opinions and judgment affects you.
All in all, it is a good read and I enjoy the book. :)

I am so glad I chose this book and all I could say was “Wow, wow, wow!”
This book is about a mysterious old man named Jones who touched the lives of many people and the impact he gave to these people. The way he dispenses out his advice and how he put things in perspective, it is sort of like the bulb that goes on and you are immediately charged and motivated to change right at that instance!
There are so many statements in the book that are so inspiring and true. I wished I could read more about Jones.
Heck, I wished I could meet Jones in my life!
I finished this book in 3 hours! (Not bad for a full-time mummy juggling a 5 month old baby who’s constantly seeking for attention)
I’m totally hooked right from the first page and I couldn’t stop until I reached the last page.
